We are going to move into Animation next. CLICK HERE for an introduction. Our first small demo will introduce the technique of KEYFRAMING. CLICK HERE FOR THE SAMPLE FILES.

Continuing our vector artwork, you are going to design coins/tokens. We will learn how to work with text as outlines and on paths. Focus on silhouette style or black and white shapes. Design a MINIMUM of 3 coins/tokens. Pick your favorite to get cut out.

For our next project, you are going to use your vector skills to create some designs that can be used as stickers. For your stickers, you can create characters, icons, logos etc. But they MUST be vector linework created by you. You CANNOT simply copy/paste images to print. Each student will be given a letter sized amount of vinyl sticker material. We will spend about 2 classes on this.

Let's introduce a couple more tools... Bezier/Anchor Point Tool Shape Builder ...then using what we have learned we will create some characters. CLICK HERE for that project .

We are going to start the course with something called VECTOR DESIGN. Our Vector Design Software will be Adobe Illustrator, lets begin with an intro into some of the basic (but very important) tools... White/ Black Arrow (Selection Tools) Pen Tool (No Curves) Shape Tools Fill/ Stroke Transforming Objects (Move/Rotate/Scale/Flip) Copying Objects We will then jump right into your first project - BASIC SHAPE ANIMALS
