We are now venturing into our Technical Design part of the course. WHAT IS TECHNICAL DESIGN? Our first task is going to involve PLAN VIEW DESIGN. CLICK HERE for our project.

Let’s get into After Effects! We are going to start with some basics in AE and the iPad, then move into some Animation Essential Skills with the Walk Cycle and the Bouncing Ball. Then we will move into some larger projects. BOUNCING BALL WALK CYCLE

Continuing our vector artwork, you are going to design coins/tokens. We will learn how to work with text as outlines and on paths. Focus on silhouette style or black and white shapes. Design a MINIMUM of 3 coins/tokens. Pick your favorite to get cut out.

For our next project, you are going to use your vector skills to create some designs that can be used as stickers. For your stickers, you can create characters, icons, logos etc. But they MUST be vector linework created by you. You CANNOT simply copy/paste images to print. Each student will be given a letter sized amount of vinyl sticker material. We will spend about 2 classes on this.

For our last vector project, you have a couple of choices... VECTOR CHARACTERS VECTOR SCENE SELF BRAND GEOMETRIC PORTRAIT VECTOR PORTRAITS LOGO PARODIES ANOTHER IDEA? Run it by me...

Although you may still use Illustrator during our Choice Module, this will act as your Final Vector Project. Have a look through THIS LIST and select a large project or a set of projects that will take you approximately 4-5 classes. This will count as 2 Project Marks.
