LASER CUT COINS/tokens
Continuing our vector artwork, you are going to design coins/tokens. We will learn how to work with text as outlines and on paths. Focus on silhouette style or black and white shapes. Design a MINIMUM of 3 coins/tokens. Pick your favorite to get cut out.

PEN TOOL/BEZIER INTRO
Our next tools some of the most widely used tools across all forms of design. The PEN TOOL, ANCHOR POINT TOOL and BEZIER HANDLES can be found in all areas of Digital Arts as actual elements of design as well as controls for different settings such as graph editors in video and animation. There are many approaches to using these tools. We will show you an approach that tends to work best with beginners. Always use Shape Tools first if you can before resorting to the Pen Tool.

CHOICE FILM PROJECT
For our final film project, you will have some choice in what you create. This is a double weighted project. Choose from the following list of projects, or pitch an idea to me ... VIDEO IDEAS ...you can work solo or in a group, just be sure the work load is fair and will cover the majority of the class time you are being given. You can create one large project or multiple short projects.

FINAL VIDEO - YOU CHOOSE
For the final video project you will get a few choices of what you would like to do. Choose one of the following... ADAPTED FOR FILM SPOOF/ MOCK AD YOUR CHOICE - Make a pitch to me about a film you would like to make. Length will depend on how complicated the editing/filming process is. You can choose to create one longer project or a couple of shorter ones. You should be planning for this to take you about 4-5 classes.
